The program is designed to accommodate Primary levels 2 and 3 and Secondary level 1.
The day begins wit the trip from the school to the Park.
The visitors are received by the teaching staff at the Polo Park and then given a tour of the facility. A brief overview is given of the activities that are planned during the visit.
While one half of the students are having their license issued, the other half of the students visit the mini-city to begin learning with the aid of examples and practical exercises prescribed by the local Police Force or Municipal Police of Pamplona. A short guided tour is made of the Acciona Energía booth, where the students can learn about renewable sources of energy.
After this, the students continue the program in a classroom setting, where they can reflect on everything they have seen thus far. This session also counts on the presence of local (outside of Pamplona) or municipal police officers (for schools located in Pamplona).
After a short rest or lunch break, the children are divided into three groups, each of which takes on a different role and then rotating. For example:
Practical Exercise in a workshop setting: basic training in bicycle maintenance for Primary level 2, Basic First Aid and Accidents in the Home for Primary level 3 and Advanced First Aid for Secondary levels.
Road Safety Circuit: each member of the group goes through the circuit as a “Pedestrian” passing through various booths in the park and following a marked itinerary. Along the way, they are asked to respond to queries in several terminals (these queries are adapted to the age and needs of the schoolchildren)
Driver Safety: each member goes through the circuit as “Drivers” of bicycles, karts or mopeds (depending on the age of the participants) paying special attention to all of the traffic signals along the way and pedestrian traffic.
In conclusion, a group evaluation is made of the day, either n site or back in the school (the results are later sent to Park personnel) and the visit is considered to be over.
