Volkswagen Navarra, S.A. was the first company in the automotive sector in Spain to be awarded with environmental certification in conformance with EMAS Regulations and the first company in the European automotive sector to gain ISO 14001 compliance. Since 1997, Volkswagen Navarra, S.A. has published its annual Environmental Declaration, which is revised and validated by accredited auditing agencies.

The Consortium Volkswagen, in harmony with their interest in minimising the impact of their productive processes, have developed a series of environmental principles by which the functioning of the Group’s Plants throughout the world will be governed.
These principles go beyond what even the strictest legal requirements stipulate in each case, and contribute to the application of the best techniques available in terms of the environment.
